First Dentist Appointment

The girls had their first dentist appointments this morning with Dr. Pierce.  I prepped them a little by saying we were going somewhere fun and they were going to brush their teeth really good.  I also let them watch the Bubble Guppies episode "A tooth on the loose" this morning about the Bubble Guppies going to the dentist.  We scheduled all of their appointments together and Brian came as well.  They loved the office since there was Disney artwork and movies on the TV.   

I have been dreading taking them to the dentist since they don't particularly like the doctor's office and to have someone in their mouth brought it to a new level.  I was expecting them to be terrified and have complete melt downs.  But, these girls surpassed all expectations and did AMAZING!  I'm so proud of them.  They followed the nurse in and volunteered to get in the chair.  They chatted with the nurse (which they never do).  They did X-rays with the nurse, the dentist did an exam, and then the hygienists cleaned their teeth.  They were all able to have their own chairs while they got their teeth cleaned and it was so cute.  They were rewarded with Frozen stickers, picking out their own toothbrushes, and picking a toy out of the treasure chest.  Here are some pictures of my BIG girls.

After they saw the dentist, they all got their own chairs for the hygienists to clean their teeth.

Painting Pumpkins

Carving pumpkins was out of the question so I decided to let the girls do a little painting.  This was their first time decorating pumpkins.  I used masking tape to put "B O O" on the three pumpkins and on the other side "S T M" for their initials.  This way, they could be as messy creative as they wanted to be and then there would still be a cute result.

Triplets Halloween 2015

Each year Halloween gets better and better with the girls.  We had so much fun.  I started prepping them for Halloween this year by reading Halloween books and talking about Halloween things.  We painted pumpkins and they wore their "Pooky" (spooky) shirts.  I did all of this so they would understand a little more about Trick or Treating and also so they wouldn't be so scared with the creepy Halloween decorations.  They can now identify pumpkins, ghosts, costumes, spooky, shadows, skeletons, trick or treat, and treats.

I figured this may be the last year that I get to pick out their costumes.  We went retro with an 80's theme.  The girls were dressed as 80's Work Out Girls.  I pieced together their outfits so they were coordinating but not matching.  Headbands and sweatshirts were on and off all night but overall they stayed in character.  In my opinion they were the cutest things ever.

Before it was time to Trick or Treat, we headed to the cul de sac for our Halloween block party.  All the neighbors brought food and the kids played before we headed out to Trick or Treat in the neighborhood.

This Halloween marks about 1 year since we have lived in our neighborhood and we couldn't be happier about our decision to move here.  The neighbors are awesome and they have been so welcoming to our family.  Here are all the kiddos in their costumes.

Time for Trick or Treating.  At first, they needed a little encouragement to go up to the doors.  Sam loved it.  She went to every house and got treats.  Mallory decided how each house looked and based that decision on whether she would get out of the wagon to go Trick or Treat.  Taylor stayed in the wagon most of the time and went to Trick or Treat a handful of times.  By the end of the night, Sam was so comfortable.  She was actually saying Trick or Treat and thank you at each house.  I was very proud of her.

After Trick or Treating, everyone came back to the cul-de-sac to roast marshmallows, eat candy, and play.  The girls got to stay out late.

I'm so glad the weather cleared up for us to celebrate Halloween.  The girls loved it and everyone had a great time.
