Our sleeping patterns?  The girls nap 2-3 times per week.  If they nap, bedtime is much more difficult.  If they don't nap, they get a little cranky after dinner but fall asleep quickly which is nice.

Sleeping has gotten better.  I still haven't had more than 4 consistent nights of full sleep.  Bedtime is still a fight for Mom's attention.  We still do a book for each and then 2 songs to get a little one on one time before sleep.

They wake up pretty between 7:30-8 most days. 

 Our eating schedule?  The girls have breakfast at 8:00 AM, Lunch at noon, snack between 3-4, and dinner at 6ish.  

 Our favorite foods?  S: Noodles, String Cheese, and "snacks".

T: Pickles and olives

M: Veggies, meat, fruit.

Our likes? Princesses, dolls, puzzles, building, barbies, make believe

 Our dislikes?  Being First, Second, and Third is the biggest fight lately.  First in the car, first out of the car, first (or last) to get dressed, first to pick a show, first to... you get the idea.  All.day.long.  And, having to clean up anything.

Our favorite games/toys?  We started having Family Game Night which they are enjoying.  Hide and Seek or Sardines are favorite with Daddy after dinner.

Our milestones? 

S: Counting to 20, singing songs, identifying letters and sounds

T:  Almost able to count by 10's, story-telling, writing more letters, coloring in detail.

M: Can add and subtract, knows letter sounds and will tell you what letter starts a word, counting to 50.

Things we do to make Mom and Dad smile?  Giggles and goofiness, loving on each other, saying "I love you.", clean up something

Rodeo Houston and Spring 2017

The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is a long family tradition for me.  So, naturally, I'm going to engulf my trio in the RodeoHouston culture.  They went 3 times this year and had so much fun.  Here are some photos from the last month or so.

Ready for Go Texan Day at school.

First trip to the rodeo this year was on a Thursday with my parents.  Crowds weren't so bad and the girls remembered some of the attractions and rides from years before.

The Farm attraction is a great learning experience for my girls... and they love it!  They are given a basket when they enter along with a seed.  They get to learn about how a farm works from growing vegetables to taking care of animals.  They also "sell" back their goods for $2.  $1 goes towards a treat and the other $1 goes in the bank.

It didn't take much convincing to the grandparents that they wanted a pony ride.

Time for carnival rides.

Like feeding baby birds when someone has ice cream.

On Friday of that week, the girls had a field trip to Old MacDonald's Farm with their preschool.  They got up close with lots of animals, enjoyed pony rides, rode on a train, and played on a huge mound of hay.

Our second trip to the rodeo was on a Wednesday during Spring Break.  The crowds were much more packed.  We watched pig races, walked through the farm, and rode some rides.

The 3rd time to the rodeo was the Saturday following spring break and the crowds were really bad.  The girls napped on the way there so they were ready to go when we got there.  We walked around the livestock show, did the farm again, rode a couple rides, and ate dinner.

My favorite tradition of the rodeo is our family photo on the bull.  This is the 4th year for our family photo.  I think they get better and better.

Spring is also a great time for us to visit our farm.  The girls had a blast running around in the wildflowers.

Brian and I got a date night the last day of the rodeo.  We saw Zac Brown Band and had a great time together.
