Our New Business

Hi readers... Brian and I have started a new adventure.  My uber-talented hubby built a PHOTO BOOTH from scratch... yes, you heard me, from scratch.  We've been throwing the idea around for years about starting our own lil business but couldn't find the right thing to do.  Brian was reading a magazine and found a company that sells turn-key photo booths.  We received information from this company and the more Brian looked in to it, the more he realized that he could do it himself.  With a couple weeks of research, about 1/2 the cost of buying a photo booth, and about 3 weeks of manufacturing in the Patterson garage, we now have ourselves our very own Photo Booth.  Tada!

 

 

I'm so happy of our decision.  Brian and I are excited to have something to do as a couple.  Our plan is to rent the photo booth to events like weddings, work parties, fundraisers, CHRISTMAS parties (these are coming soon, anyone interested?), or any other gatherings of a bunch of people.

 

 

We were able to debut our photo booth at our 4th annual Halloween party.  All of our guests had a blast taking funny pics and putting on our assortment of props and costumes.  What was really cool was that they immediately uploaded to facebook so everyone could see them online and tag themselves.

Our first dilemma.... we don't have a name!  Any suggestions out there would be very helpful, so leave me a message if you have ideas for our new company name.

 

Brian will be working on an enclosure soon and we will have customizable props and backdrops.  Sooo... if there are any events coming up in the Houston area that needs a photo booth, please let us know.  We'd love to do business with you!

That Feeling of Accomplishment

So you know that feeling… that great great feeling… when you FINALLY finish something that you have been working on FOREVER.  Well, I have that feeling since I finally finished my scrapbooks from my wedding.  The wedding, reception, events such as showers, trying on my Mother’s dress, and engagement photos, our honeymoon, and even moving into our new home.   ALL of these things filled three huge scrapbooks.  Here are some photos of the books and my favorite pages. 

 

FYI: This was number 1 on my post about If Only I had All of the Time in the World.

Well, I’m super proud of finishing all of these.  It was so nice to put away all of the supplies and clear up our middle bedroom.  Now I can just show off my accomplishment and move on to the next project… I’m thinking photobooks of our recent vacations, organize closets in the house, or work on my ancestry?… maybe a combo of the three, but on to better things.


 

Kara Got Hitched

One of my best friends from high school got married last weekend.  Kara Jo married Javier on June 17, 2012.  I was blessed to be standing next to Kara at the alter when her and Javier tied the knot.  She had 5 bridesmaids, all of us friends from high school.  Leila, Laura, Jessica, Marion, and I.  It was such an awesome weekend with all of us back together.  It was like old times and I LOVE these girls so much.  We were all so happy for Kara.

One of the other bridesmaids, Laura, put together this amazing video from the weekend.  Most of the time I had no clue she was even taping.  Here it is... so take a look at Kara's awesome wedding.

Being a part of Kara's big day was such an honor.  I'm so glad I got to spend the whole weekend with my girls and celebrate such a special moment for Kara and Javier.  I don't have any pictures from the actual wedding because I was doing my bridesmaid duties of standing at the alter and then dancing my booty off.  Make sure to watch Laura's video posted at the beginning to see all of our goofy pictures we took in the photo booth and Mateo's mad dance skills.  It was an awesome night and one that I'm sure Kara will never forget.  Love you girls!
