Triplet Girls Baby Shower

Brian and I are so fortunate to have such giving friends and family.  We were offered 4 baby showers and here are the pictures from the second shower that I was able to attend in February.  Family friends, Kitten and George Ann, hosted this shower.  It was beautiful.  From the floral arrangements to cupcakes to specialty martinis to lunch spread... everything looked amazing.

Triplets Baby Shower (Decorating Onesies)

Waaaay back in February (when I could still walk around)... our friends and family offered to throw us a shower for our babies.  Here is a recap of the fun Friday evening.

My friend, Zoe, made this B-E-A-Utiful cake.  I love the 3 little eggs on top and all of the intricate details.

 

 



 

My Mother-in-law came up with this poem and there were also sign up sheets for helpers and meals.  It was super cute.

 

 

The activity for the night was decorating onesies.  The hosts had come up with the idea of using templates to cut out fabric shapes and then using Wonder Under to adhere them to the set of onesies you picked.  There were so many options and everyone was able to use their imagination to create something for my girls.

The night was lovely.  I want to thank all of the hosts once again for putting together such a special shower for me.  I'm also glad it was planned early enough that I was able to attend.  Going to my own baby shower was something I've always looked forward to when ever I got pregnant.  Thanks again!

Three Peas in a Pod Baby Shower



My 'Three Peas in a Pod' Shower was given to us by all of my aunts and surrogate aunts.  They put in a lot of effort to make this an adorable yet elegant baby shower.  Once again Brian went in my place and I rode around on his chest in the form of a Kindle.

 

The invitations and decor were so ADORABLE.

 

 

The stained glass in the back of the room just happened to be three storks... how fitting for a triplets baby shower!

 

 

They had a game set up where you would have to guess what baby item was in each pink bag.  Surprisingly, Brian got most of the answers right!  He is going to be such a great Daddy.

 

 

Here are some pics from Brian opening prezzies.  My cousin's 2 year old daughter helped him open the presents and then would bring them to the Kindle where I could see them.  It was the cutest thing ever.

 

 

Thanks so much to my hostesses.  It was such a wonderful shower and I really wish I could have been there in person.  Brian and I are so blessed to have such generous and amazing people in our lives.  We love each and every one of you.

 

3 Amigas Baby Shower, Ole!

 

Brian and I are so incredibly lucky.  Why, you may ask... because we have so many friends and family that care so much about us.  It makes me feel so good to know that we have a huge support group and that we will never be lacking help when these babies get here.  Along with that support, we have had so many people want to help throw babies' showers for us that we ended up with 4 showers.  Needless to say, we have received so many baby gifts and we are so grateful.

 

My sister-in-law (Check out her Blog for more pics), best friends, and their Mom's offered to a shower for my baby girls.  This one happened last weekend and was a FIESTA themed party.  It was soooo adorable and I like to quote Stephanie that, "Pinterest threw up in my house".

 

 

Also, being on hospital bed rest, I was unfortunately unable to make it to my own babies' shower.  But guess you stepped in, my amazing hubby, Brian (they are his kiddos too).  I was also able to skype in to the shower, and even though the image quality was poor, I was still able to talk to all of the guests and see what gifts we received.

What an awesome time with amazing friends.  I really wish I could have been there in person to see everyone but we did what we could.  My most important job right now is gestating... or growing babies.  Deepest thanks to all of my hosts and friends that came.  Brian and I really appreciate all of the love. 

 

And to Brian, what a good sport you were walking in to a house full of women.  I'm such a lucky woman and these growing girls are lucky to have such a great man as their father.  I love you.

 

 

 

 



Bump Day: Week 24

How far along? 24 weeks!  This is very exciting considering our obstacles this past week.

Sleep? So so.  With vitals being checked every 4 hours, contractions monitored every 6 hours, and medication at 3 AM it can be pretty hard to sleep sometimes.

Maternity Clothes? Right now... mostly large t-shirts and pajama pants.

Stretch Marks? Still no, but getting bigger each day.

Best Moment this week? There have been a couple.  1.  Watching my sweet husband go in my place to my babies' shower.  I was able to be skyped in but I was so proud of him for facing a room full of women and opening baby gifts with a smile on his face.  Thanks, Brian!  2.  This milestone of 24 weeks... Let's keep cookin' girls.

My friend Marion came to the hospital to help me get ready for the shower.  Here I am skyping to the shower.

Miss Anything? My puppy dog, Ryley.  She is having a blast at Brian's parents but I miss her moans, craziness, and seeing her face at the edge of my bed when I wake up in the morning.

Movement? Yes, I can even just watch my belly move sometimes.

Size of the Babies? Three Ears of Corns.

Food Cravings? Still craving the apples and nutella combo.  Trying to eat as much as possible these days.  Need to gain some more weight.

Morning Sickness? Still glad its gone.

Gender? Three girls.

Bed Rest? Yep and in the hospital.  They are taking good care of me here.

Limitations? No getting up except to go to the bathroom and shower. 

Labor Signs? Contractions have stopped but they continue to monitor for them every 6 hours.

Weight Gain? 19 lbs... have lost a couple lbs since coming to the hospital.  I blame it on the magnesium I was on for a couple days when I didn't have an appetite.  Also I'm losing all those muscles I have. 

Pregnancy Symptoms? Uncomfortable in any position after about 30 minutes so I have to constantly change positions.

Belly Button In or Out? Its finally Out.

Wedding Rings On or Off? Don't have them on in the hospital but they still fit.  No swelling yet... knock on wood.

Mood? Optimistic that I will stay pregnant for a LOT longer.

Looking Forward To? Watching Brian attend my last babies' shower this weekend and STAYING PREGNANT.

What Brian is Saying: "Now you look REALLY pregnant"  Guess its because at 24 weeks with triplets, I'm equivalent to a full-term woman pregnant with one baby.
