Triplets' 2nd Birthday Party - Bubble Guppies

My kids are 2.  They are 2! I can't believe it.  We had another huge celebration for their 2nd year of life on June 6th and it was a blast.  The girls can't get enough of Bubble Guppies on Nick Jr. so we decided that they would love a Bubble Guppies party.  I wanted to give them something to be excited for and also something that wouldn't be too cheesy.

The weather was pretty nice, just hot here in Houston.  I had food and cake inside and multiple stations set up in our back yard for all of the kids.  We also had our photo booth set up inside which was a huge hit with the kiddos. 

I used paper lanterns to make the orange guppies and my MIL made all of the jellyfish.

I set up pictures of the girls from 13 months to 23 months.

Our photo booth (Snap Happy Photos) was set up in the office so our guests could get there picture taken.

I made the banner, food labels, and cake decorations.

My Aunt Maeleen made the cake.  It was beautiful but more importantly... Delicious!

Outside, we had multiple stations set up for the kids to play.  We had a race track, small play ground, large playground, chalk/color table, bubbles station, human bubbles, and ball pit.  I wanted to make sure there was enough for all of the kids and for different age ranges.

The girls were pretty shy and overwhelmed at first.  But after a while they opened up a bit and had lots of fun.

We got them this Radio Flyer roller coaster and here they are riding it for the first time.  Mal and Taylor loved it.

The human bubbles didn't work like I planned.  I'm not sure anyone got them past their knees.

The first gifts they saw were their new scooters from our awesome neighbors.  They had to play around a little before opening the rest of the gifts.

Things got a little chaotic while opening presents.  They were distracted very easily and wanted to play with each present they opened.

Thank you to everyone that came and thanks for all of the wonderful gifts.  The girls had a blast celebrating their 2nd birthday!

Triple Play: 2 Years

How old?  Two, Dos, 24 Months

Our weights?  S: 23 lbs 9.5 oz T: 25 lbs 4 oz lbs M: 24 lbs 4.5 oz
Heights - S: 34 in T: 34.5 in  M: 34.25 in 
They are wearing 24 months and 2t.  All of their 18 months clothes seem like they fit yesterday, and now they are all tight.

Our sleeping patterns?  Napping still at 1 PM for about 2 hours.  Sam is still normally the first to wake up and Taylor is normally the last.

Sleeping through the night is what it is.  I get up once, maybe twice a night to retrieve a pacifier and cuddle for a few minutes.  Three nights is still our record for most consecutive "sleeping through the night" nights.  Any sickness or teething throws them off and we start from scratch.

 Our eating schedule?  The girls have breakfast at 8:30 AM, Lunch at noon, snack when they wake up from their nap (between 3-4), and dinner at 6.  They still get milk right before bed as well.

 Our favorite foods?  S: Marshmallows and cake
T: Marshmallows and berries
M: Green beans and cantaloupe

Our likes? "Duppies" (Bubble Guppies), "Nastics" (Gymnastics), Legos, Playing kitchen and serving each other (cutest thing ever!), Ryley (she gets hugs before bed each nice... wait, this might be the cutest thing ever!), Grandparents, new toys

 Our dislikes?  When sister steals a toy, when they are hungry or tired... its a fight to do anything.

Our favorite games/toys?  They are loving their new dolls, puzzles, and scooters they got for their birthday.  They also LOVE the large box their playground came out of.  Brian cut our windows and a door and they will play in it for a while.

Our milestones?  Peepee in the potty.  They each do it at least once a day.  They are ahead of me on wanting to potty train.  I'm not sure I'm ready for this.

Things we do to make Mom and Dad smile?  Play nicely together.  Say something new.  Achieve something new. Be cute and adorable!

Triple Play: 23 Months

How old?  23 Months... Last month as 1 year olds :( 

Our weights?  estimates: S: 23.5 lbs  T: 25 lbs M: 24 lbs 
They are in 18-24 months clothes and I even started putting them in 2t.  It seems like they have grown a lot lately.

Our sleeping patterns?  Naps are easy and they sleep 2 hours (unless Pest control salesman knocks on your door... then it is three screaming kids for half an hour).

Going to bed has been better without much fussing.  And they have been sleeping well too.  If we have to get up, it is only to give a pacifier back that has fallen out of the crib.  They have also been sleeping until 8:30 which I can't complain about ;)

 Our favorite foods?  They like chips and bunny tails.  They also request apple sauce.  They tried gelato for the first time and no one fussed about that.

Our likes? Taylor and Sam are quite the mommies.  They love to take care of their babies by swaddling them, changing their diapers, putting them down for a nap, and rocking them.  It is the cutest thing ever.  They are liking "big girl" things like dressing themselves or brushing their own hair.  Let me tell you, this does not save on time AT ALL.  They LOVE Bubble Guppies and their gymnastics class.  

 Our dislikes?  Taylor fights me over her outfit almost every day.  They are moody and cranky when they are hungry and tired or just want Mommy.

Our favorite games/toys?  They really like their new Little People princess castle.

Our milestones?  Taylor said her first sentence, "I want Mommy to wear it" as she put a necklace on me.  So sweet and cute.  Mallory and Sam are on the verge of jumping consistently.  They will jump with two feet sometimes but they mostly land on their bottoms.  Taylor and Sam are roll playing a lot with their baby dolls.

Things we do to make Mom and Dad smile?  When they let us eat dinner without crying at our feet, sitting in our laps, or grabbing all of our food.  When they play nicely together and make each other laugh.  When they do something so adorably cute (this happens quite often).
