Brian and I took an amazing and much needed vacay to the Virgin Islands September 14-22, 2012. We stayed two nights at the Marriott on St. Thomas, five nights in a condo on St. John, and the last night in San Juan, PR due to our layover. We arrived in St. Thomas around dinner time on September 14, 2012. We moseyed around the resort and grabbed a bite to eat. Day 2, there was no easing in… we met at Bolongo Bay for our scuba dives. Here are just a small portion of the pictures we took. The first dive was Navy Barges and the second was Armando’s Reef.
This big guy hung out in the palm next to our hotel room.
In one of the pools at the resort. PS. We were the only ones there in the middle of the afternoon. Can we say low season?
Panorama of a part of the Marriott.
In the afternoon of day 1, we drove around St. Thomas to get a feel of the island and take some perrdy pictures. This was our sweet ride.
View of Red Hook from a rocky beach.
View of St. John and some BVI from St. Thomas’ east coast.
Dinner at Mim’s overlooking Bolongo Bay (where we did scuba).
Day 3: We went snorkeling in the morning from the beach at the Marriott Resort. Definitely not as good as our dives but we saw some wild beach chairs and a cool worm/centipede thingy.
After snorkeling, we went back to the room and packed up our stuff. We went to lunch at Hooter’s, naturally, so we could watch the Texan’s play and see how our fantasy players were doing. Next stop grocery store and then a ferry ride across to St. John. Part 2 of our vacation will be posted tomorrow. Thanks for reading!
