Triple Play: 2 Months

How old?  2 months.  Wow, time is flying.

 

Our weights?  All over 8 lbs.  We will get exact weights at their 2 month check up on Friday.  We are wearing newborn size and sometimes a 0-3 months.

 

Our sleeping patterns? At night we are up to about 5 hour stretches.  (Not all at the same time...) Sometimes one or more of them need to be soothed with a pacifier or rocked but normally she falls back asleep.  During the day, they take naps between each feeding after a little play time.

 

Our eating schedule?  We now have a more set schedule.  The girls eat at 8 AM, 11:30, 3 PM, 6:30 PM, 10 PM, and then around 3 AM.  They take in an average of about 80 mL every feed.  The feedings themselves are getting a little quicker but now the girls are more awake and alert so sometimes there is one or more fussy babies to calm while you feed another.

 

Our favorite foods? Breast milk.

 

Our likes?  Being held, our pacifiers, and being close to each other.  Mallory loves to watch tv.  Samantha loves to sleep and have her head scratched.  Taylor loves to move and wiggle around.

 

Our dislikes?  Reflux, tummy aches, and hunger.

 

Our favorite games/toys?  Toys that light up or make sound.  We are starting to look at ourselves in the mirror and watch the mobiles on the swings.  We also love our little seahorse that plays lullabies when we go to sleep.
 

Our milestones?  We are able to lift our heads and rotate side to side while on our tummy.  Taylor will smile with intention, Samantha reaches for her bottle, and Mallory will follow an object with her eyes.

Things we do to make Mom and Dad smile?  Smiling, the positions that we fall asleep, making eye contact, and the new things we learn.
