Our first day in Siesta Key was full of firsts for the girls. Their first time to the beach and their first time in a pool. They loved both!

We decided to go to the beach in the morning to avoid the hot afternoon sun in our faces. We packed up and walked the 2 blocks to the beach. Brian and my Dad set up our cabana and we introduced the girls to the ocean and the beach. Because it took us a little longer to get out of the house, it was nowour their nap time. I forgot their pacifiers but they managed to fall asleep after a little fussing. Brian and I took a little siesta as well :) Once awake, it was lunch time, so we packed up and headed back to the house. Not much playing around but they sure looked cute in their swim suits and hats.
In the afternoon, we decided to take a dip in the pool. It was the girls' first time in the pool and they loved it.
And the cutest picture ever...
They loved this little game where we sat them on the edge and they would scoot off in to our arms. Sam would almost swim back to the wall each time to do it again.
On April 28 (Brian's birthday!) we all had a nice big breakfast on the patio. We decided to head to downtown Siesta Key to look around at the shops.
We had lunch at Daiquiri Deck. The girls were very well behaved and kept us entertained.
And I also found out, while on vacation, that I am allergic to tuna... The culprit... that huge sandwich right there.
We had to cut our shopping day short due to me getting hives covering about 90% of my body, racing heart, tingling hands, a headache, and itchy feet. Thankfully, my Mom ran to get Benadryl for me and my symptoms started going down about 45 minutes after taking it. No more tuna for me... ever.
Time to swim again. The girls are anxious to get in.
On the 29th, we rented a boat and rode around on the bay. I would have to say this was the least liked "first" for the babies. Taylor was a trooper and enjoyed it for the most part. Mallory and Sam were uncomfortable in their life jackets, possibly a little sea sick, tired, and and hungry. We did get a few smiles out of them though.
We were lucky and spotted a manatee.
There was a place to dock the boat so we walked a short distance to see the ocean. It was beautiful. Mallory was sleeping so she missed it :/
Taylor's first time to drive a boat... watch out!
Now Mallory's turn.
That afternoon, we were back in the pool.
I've mastered holding all 3 at once!
Well, that was the first 1/2 of our trip. You can check out the rest of our vacation here.

We got some great action shots with Brian's Go Pro.

Babies playing... while I was sleeping off the allergy attack.
