Halloween is one of my favorite holidays and this year did not disappoint. The girls had so much fun dressing up as Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather (the fairies in Sleeping Beauty in case you aren't up to date with your princess movie characters).
They have always loved these characters and it didn't take much convincing. My favorite Mother-in-law made the most beautiful, adorable costumes. We received numerous, "Those are the best costumes we've seen all night" and "You girls won the costume contest" and "Y'all are the cutest things I've ever seen"! And its true, I couldn't stop taking pictures of them. Not only did they look cute, but they were in character as well. They called each other Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather, and corrected any adult that didn't use those names. They were pretty adorable. Here are a slew of photos from tonight.
They couldn't wait to see themselves dressed up in the mirror. This is their "first look".
I was afraid they wouldn't keep their hats on, but they did. They may have sweat more than they ever have, but they knew they had to wear their costumes to get more candy.
Twirling and group hugs. I wish they could stay this little forever.
Ready to go to the party down the street.
MBC Halloween 2016. So much fun spending holidays with wonderful neighbors.
Time to Trick-or-Treat. This is by far Sam's favorite holiday. This is the 3rd year in a row that she has led the pack to each house and wasn't ready to stop at the end. I was so proud they kept their costumes on the whole time.
The girls had so much fun and so did I. I love watching the joy on their faces. They said "Trick or Treat" and "Thank you" at each house followed by a "I got some more candy!" from Sam. Mallory told me when I put her to bed tonight, "Mom, I want to do Halloween again." My response was about having to wait a whole year and she said, "I'm so excited!"
And Brian to Sam, "You were the cutest tonight." and her response, "Oh Daddy, settle down." I love these precious girls and I can't wait until next year.
